After a year’s break forced by the coronavirus pandemic, the Oregon Festival of American Music returns for 10 days this month. The 2021 festival’s theme is “Reel Music”, which explores the roles of music in film from the silent screen era through the 1980s in a series of talks and concerts. The festival places a special emphasis on historic jazz and the Classic Songbook.
The festival starts Thursday, July 22, and ends Saturday, July 31. It’s located at The Shedd Institute at 868 High Street in Eugene.
The full schedule is at the Oregon Festival of American Music’s home page. Buy tickets online at the same location, or call the box office at (541) 434-7000.
